Redding Rancheria Community Education Fund (RRCEF)

Available Programs


Adults

Education Assistance Program

Supplemental assistance up to $300 per calendar year is provided to help adult students attend college, university or trade school. Each student may submit one request per calendar yar. The funds my be used for reimbursement or paid directly to the school or vendor for tuition, books or other required materials. You must have a C (70%) or better to receive funds.

Requirements

  1. Native American (Federally or non Federally recognized)
  2. Address in the Redding Rancheria Service Area (see service area defined below)
  3. Photo ID

Native American Education Scholarship - SPRING 2018

The Native American Education Scholarship provides funding for Native American students currently enrolled at a college, university or trade school. It provides (5) recipients with a financial award up to $500 towards tuition, books and other school related costs for the Spring 2018/Fall 2018 Semesters.

Requirements

  1. Native American (Federally or non Federally recognized)
  2. Address in the Redding Rancheria Service Area (see service area defined below)
  3. Currently enrolled and are taking classes for the Spring 2017 term at a qualified institution as defined by the RRCEF
  4. Have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.0

Deadline

  • FRIDAY, December 1, 2017
  • Students will be notified via email, postal mail or phone by Monday, December 18th,2017 regarding the Selection Process.

Youth

Native American High School Education Scholarship - Spring 2017

The Native American High School Education Scholarship will provide funding for (4) Native American High School Seniors with a scholarship of $500 each towards attending trade school, college, or university for the Summer 2017/Fall 2018 semesters.

Requirements

  1. Native American (Federally or non Federally recognized)
  2. Address in the Redding Rancheria Service Area (see service area defined below)
  3. Be enrolled full time in trade school, college, university for Summer 2017/Fall 2018 that is a qualified institution as defined by the RRCEF
  4. Have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.5

Deadline

  • Application Deadline: Friday April 28, 2017
  • Students will be notified via email, postal mail or phone by Monday, April 28th regarding the Selection Process.

Johnson O'Mally (JOM) Program - (School Supplies)

The Johnson O'Malley Program provides funding for Native American Youth who require assistance with purchasing school supplies.

Requirements

  1. Native American
  2. Address in the Redding Rancheria Service Area
  3. School aged (3 years to 17 years)
  4. Enrolled in preschool to 12th grade (preschool must submit proof of enrollment)

Johnson O'Malley School Supplies Application


 

The Service Area is Defined As:

All of Trinity County, from and including the City of Redding to the Siskiyou County line, from and including the City of Redding to the Tehama county line, including Cottonwood and those with Cottonwood addresses, from and including the City of Redding and the Trinity County line, from and including the city of Redding to Round Mountain and all of those with Round Moutnain addresses, and from the city of Redding to Shingletown and all those with Shinglitown addresses.
